It's a definite improvement over older versions, though there are some nitpicky details that annoy me still. It's about time Fire had tabs, too!

;)

I didn't setup any accounts in the new Fire. I downloaded it and it looked rather ugly compared to Adium and Proteus. Fire was once THE messenger on OS X. Can you tell us more about this version or give us a screenshot?

I think the ugliness is still present, frankly. For example, the slight view misalignments in windows, and the non-uniform icons in the preferences window. (It's still the IM client I use, though).

Adium manages buddy pics. Not a deal killer though
What the nerd community most often fail to realize is that all features aren't equal. A well implemented and well integrated feature in a convenient interface is worth way more than the same feature implemented crappy, or accessed through a annoying interface.
