i have some mpg files that i want to put together and burn to a cd (not a dvd). the files aren't big enough to warrant wasting a whole blank dvd. can i use imovie or should i use toast?

What will you be using to play these MPEG files? do you want to pop the CD into a DVD player as a VCD, or is playing them on your computer fine?

If you want to use the disc in a DVD player, then Toast works quite well. If you only want to play on your computer, though, then don't bother with Toast or iMovie; the Finder will do what you need.

ok here's an update. i dropped one of the music videos into toast and in the window is only showing 1:15 of the first clip. i know it's atleast 5 mins long. the rest of the clips are showing up fine.

what do i need to do?

the file extension is .mpg. when i try playing the clip in quicktime it doesn't work. i just tried playing it in quicktime and only 1:15 on the video played. in vlc it played for about 5 mins.
