I am trying to make a payroll sheet so I can save some time. Problem I have is how can I put a certain date at the begining of the row and have it add one day to the next cell in the row? I dont want, every week, to have to physically input 1/1/2005 then 1/2/2005 and so on. Any way I can do this by putting in the starting date and have it add one day to the next cell next to it up to 7 days?

Do you absolutely need a formula to do this? Because Excel can fill in a series of dates for you pretty easily.

Try this:

Type 1/1/2005 in a cell. Type 1/2/2005 in the cell below it. Highlight the two cells and hover over the bottom right corner of the selection until the cursor turns into a black cross. Now drag to get however many days you need. Does that work for you?

From memory:

Put the date in the first cell.
In the next cell put =firstcell+1

The sadistic way to do it would be to get an intern.
