I've been able to repeat this problem on my other iBook with v.4.7.1 installed.

Backup your library using File>Export Library at whatever location you choose. Now try to save it again at the same location. It will hang at the dialog asking you if you want to replace the file (you won't see text at all, just the box). It doesn't matter if you just launched iTunes, or were playing music for some time.

Running 10.3.7 on both systems.

Not tried for that bug, but I do know that I cant get any damn iTunes radio stations to work anymore.. Every time I try to open a folder, like 'Electronica' for example, I get an error:

"An error occurred while contacting the radio tuning service. Check your internet connection or try again later"

Well i've been trying again 'later' all day, and it doesn't work. Same thing on 2 different Macs.
Of the several categories I tried 'Blues' did open, but neither of the streams inside worked.
The worst thing about having a failing memory is..... no, it's gone.

Weird - I have the same problem now (tried classical and jazz). Haven't listened to radio for a while now...

Didn't encounter the library export bug on my iBook running 10.3.7 with iTunes 4.7.1. But I'm having the same issue with the radio

I just tried every single radio category. Ambient, Classical, Country, Eclectic, and Hard Rock seem to work fine. All others fail. So ... I'm guessing this isn't a code bug but something about (most) of the particular radio streams. Hmmm ...

Update: I just tried my old iMac DV which is still on 4.7. Same problem. So it appears NOT to be a 4.7.1 bug but something with the service.

Hmmm...the radio is working fine over here...

As far as the library export, my workaround has been to manually delete the existing XML file and then export.

Must have been a temporary service glitch. My radio is working fine now as well.

My radio is working fine AND I can export my Library twice to the same location without any problem. Perhaps you might reinstall and repair permissions. Are you running any system hacks?

The only bug I'm aware of in iTunes 4.7.1 is the fact that it kills the display of album art in the iPod photo after you sync with the new software. Unchecking the preference to display album art on the iPod, un-mounting and re-mounting the iPod, re-checking the preference, and then updating the iPod seems to copy all the artwork over to the iPod again and restores this functionality. An annoying bug but an easy fix.

Not running system hacks involving iTunes. I tried repairing permissions to no avail. Apparently the problem is limited to iTunes since this problem doesn't crop up with other apps.

I didn't have this problem with v.4.7.0.
