A year or two ago, probably on this forum, a thread pursued a "fix" for Mail's lack of an easy way to change the subject line of an email.
Someone offered a script, which i've found very useful: it pops up a box with the name of the selected email message and you can change it. Simple. Fast. Done. ( (CAVEAT: i have mailboxes nested two and three deep and it seems that changes done too deep in the heirarchy revert to the originals once you switch to another mailbox. As a workaround, I've created a first-level mailbox "for renaming" in the archive folder: I move mail there, rename it using the script, and then move it back to its desired location).
I've lost track of who wrote it and where it's available so am unable to help others get it.
Does anyone know the origin of such a script?
thanks
