I have a large music library, but I have a small amount of storage space on my PowerBook. Is there any way to create something like a playlist that syncs to another Mac, just like you do with an iPod? I'd even perhaps be happy to make it the same list that is on my iPod which stays in the car, but I don't want to have to do the current sync I do now between them with Synchronize! X Pro and copy the whole library, since I don't need to listen to audio books I've already heard on the PowerBook, etc.

It as hard to find a similar thread, but I bet others have asked this. Any ideas or applications that can assist with this? Thanks!

Have you tried PodWorks ?

This will allow you to select your playlist on your ipod and update the itunes library on your powerbook with the selected playlist (without including songs that are already there).

hope this helps...
