iTunes music distorted after upgrade...

I just finished upgrading to itunes 4.7.1 and os 10.3.7 and now all the music is distorting on playback. I repaired permissions after the update and restarted. Any ideas what might be a solution?

Edited: Opps just noticed it is system wide. Sound in all apps and system sound is distorting.

Do you have a Revolution audio card?
