I had purchased pocketmac to sync my ipaq 6365 with my powerbook. I have to say I wasn't happy with the results. First of all it is slow. Syncing iPhoto and iTunes via pocketmac was really really slow for me and it was just much faster if I do it in finder (I have a USB card reader). At first Pocketmac did sync my contacts and calendar fine... but after about a month or so it has corrupted my ical calendars badly. I had to remove them completely... after that I found other people have had the same problem with pocketmac (though apparently not everyone, as some people seem happy with it). I believe you can find posts on this in Apple's discussion forum if you do a search on "pocketmac".
Another weird problem I had that I think might be caused by pocketmac as it started right after I have installed pocketmac: it seemed to install some kind of firewall at startup and as a result I couldn't start the OSX built-in firewall (it says that a 3-rd party firewall is running and has to be stopped first). The problem went away after I uninstalled pocketmac.
I am sure that you are aware that the other option for syncing pocket pc with mac is Missing Sync. Since I have stopped using Pocetmac completely I am seriously considering MS. I have heard good and bad things about it (and admittedly same thing with PM) so right now I have no sync solution... still trying to decide before I put more money into this... anyway this is my personal experience. Hope it helps.
