I posted this topic already in the Apple Discussion Forums, but thought I'd post here as well. I've played and recorded guitar on GarageBand version 1 since it came out without any latency issues whatsoever. I upgraded to GB 2 today, and now there is a distinct delay in playback, with or without effects. I've done the steps as outlined in Help for minimizing delay, so I'm at a loss. If anyone has a suggestion, I'm all ears. Other than this issue, GB 2 is a great upgrade.

OS X 10.3.7, on a 17" PB, 1 GB RAM. I tried locking down existing tracks to free up the CPU, but that didn't seem to help at all. I'm wondering if it's a USB issue.

I have delay problems in v. 1. I'm getting 2 on monday. I run through an iMic. If I switch the audio input to the soundcard, and then back again, it gets rid of the lag. A pain, but it works. I'm hoping for v.2 to fix this problem.

Somebody suggested the same thing on the Apple Discussion boards. I'll give this a try and see what happens.
