1) Will it be bundled with new Macs, like iLife? My dad might buy a new iMac a few months down the line, so I'd like to know if I should buy it now or just wait.

2) If it won't be bundled with new Macs, my next question is: Can I get it on CD? My iBook only has a CD drive, so I'm reliant on that. I saw a footnote on one of the iWork web pages that said it's available separately as a CD, but I couldn't find it in the Apple Store.

1. I imagine it will be. I don't know when.
2. It says that but all the requirements for it say you need a DVD player. Maybe you could install it via NFS.

1) From http://www.apple.com/macmini/specs.html
Software "Life ‘05 (includes iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD and GarageBand), AppleWorks, Quicken 2005 for Mac, Nanosaur 2, Marble Blast Gold and Apple Hardware Test"

So no, still ships with AW.

2) iWork ‘05 System Requirements
- Macintosh computer with a 500 mhz or faster Power PC G3, G4 or G5 (G4 for PowerBook); G4 or G5 recommended
- 128 MB of physical RAM (512MB recommended)
- 8 MB of video memory (32MB recommended)
- Mac OS X v10.3.6 or later
- QuickTime 6.5 or later
- iLife ’04 or later recommended
- 1GB of available disk space
- Display with 1024 by 768 pixel resolution or better recommended
- DVD drive required for install (CD version available separately)

I wonder why they made it a DVD? It's only using 640MB on the DVD?

iWork is not being shipped with new Macs yet, but this will probably change at some point. However, I wouldn't expect this to happen for another couple of months at least, and possibly longer than that.
