I have been traveling quite a bit recently so need a dial up program to use in the hotel. Since I use Roadrunner at home I thought I would give Roadrunner Dialup a try.

The application appears to install correctly and the set up wizard runs. However, each time I attempt to launch the RR Dailer I receive the following message: "The application "Adobe Reader" could not be launched because of a shared library error: "<Adobe Reader>ø "

Needless to say, RR help for Mac users is less than stellar and they are no help with this problem. Thier answer is: "This is an Adobe problem. Call them."

I have uninstalled both the Adobe Reader and the RR Dialer programs several times and reinstalled in different orders, but still the problem persists.

Anyone else ever experience this problem? Any suggestions?

Thanks

Have you tried something as simple as repairing permissions? Also, I assume both apps are on your boot volume, that could make a difference I suppose.

If those are OK, maybe the RR people can tell you what library file their app is trying to use but can't. Then check to see if it's locked.

Thanks for the advice. I ran Disk Utilities and, while there were a few permissions that needed rapair for other apps, it had no affect on this particular problem.

I asked RR where the installer placed all the files. All they coulld tell me was in Applications. They also asked me to delete a folder called "configMagic" when I uninstalled the app. I searched my hard drive and could not find a folder with that name, nor could I find the two files they told me to delete when I uninstalled: RoadRunner_installLog.xml, RRDialAccess-v2.00-macx.zip

Any other suggestions?
