Here's the problem: the size of my business does not justify owning a plotter capable of printing A1 so I take the digital file to a copy shop, but all of them only accept plot (.plt) or PDF files, neither of which MacDraft saves. (They can also print from TIFF or JPEG but the image quality of these, as saved from MacDraft, is too bad - far too jaggy - and there seems to be no way to deepen resolution for the save.)
I discovered that I can use Acrobat as a virtual printer to turn my MacDraft file into a PDF but, and this is the real killer, no matter how I configure page setups, printer driver options, document/drawing sizes, preferences etc in either applications, I can't get a print at the correct scale, which is rather important for a printed plan! (One was as small as about 60% of what it actually should be on paper.) At least I'm encouraged by the fact that different settings produce different prints, so I can assume that there is a set of settings which will give me the right print scale. I just can't find that set!
Any suggestions relating to any or all aspects of my dilemma?
