Hiya..

Prolly a simple cure to this.. but I'm stuck!
When I used to plug me digi camera into the USB and switch it on it would start up iPhoto and then go to the import section and let me import.. now it wont start iPhoto or recognise a camera being connected.. Is there summit I can do? I have reapaired permissions.

Cheers muchly!

Which version of iPhoto are you using? Have you checked preferences to make sure something didn't get switched off as far as importing?

Open the app "Image Capture" and check the prefs under the Camera tab

You may try checking the settings on the camera. Have the communications setting on PTP instead of normal.

aaah, os updates can occasionally cause problems.

did you check image capture to see if you can access the camera at all? it's in your applications directory.
