Hey All

I just got a gift cert for Music, went to download some songs, but they Don't Download at the rate I've set-up... 48kHz, 192kbps, Highest Quality... Yea... my first try at downloading songs. They all came out 44.100kHz

Whats goning on??? All my CD's that I've imported come out that way???

Thanks!!!

Brad

The import settings that you're talking about are used when converting CDs/WAV files/AIFF files/etc. into AAC or MP3 files. Tracks downloaded from the iTunes music store have already been encoded by Apple at 128kbps/44.100kHz AAC files. Downloading them merely results in iTunes adding them to its library--it does not encode them further.

The Music Store ones are 128. For CDs you rip, go into iTunes > preferences > importing and change the bit rate.
