Title says it all, a friend has an old mac in spain, it is not going to run osx, anyway of usinf skype in os9 on this machine, if not is there a skype alternative that can work ?

Skype will never work since its OSX only. And it requires a 500 Mhz machine, so if the machine cant run OSX, it certainly wont run skype either.
