I have Virtual PC 7.0 (040819) installed on my G4 Cube and PowerBook G3 with Windows 2000 Pro (corporate) and Windows XP Pro (corporate) installed on both. I'm trying to play a game called Space Empires IV Gold on my local network at home, and get the following message:

"A copy of Virtual PC for Mac with the same product key has been detected on the network. This copy is licensed for single use only. You will need to quit the other copy to continue using this one."

I used the same install discs for both installations, so obviously that is the problem. However, I have Little Snitch 1.1.1 installed on both computers and neither complain about anything Microsoft trying to connect out to check for duplicate product keys. Is there a crack, hack, or workaround for this? Perhaps I'm missing something in using Little Snitch. Any suggestions welcome, thanks!

Legal option: buy another copy of VOC for your other Mac. You're only allowed to have it installed on one Mac at a time.

Less-Legal Option: Find which port it uses to 'sniff' your network for another copy, and block it.
