Hotmail problems in Entourage

It suddenly stopped working, basically telling me my password was wrong.
I've reinstalled the account, and I know the password is right, as I can log in directly to Hotmail.
Any ideas? Frustrating as all getout!

I seem to remember something about MS eliminating the free access from Entourage - that it only works now if you have a paid hotmail account....
I could definitely be wrong, but I think I remember hearing that....

Yeah, there's no more access to free hotmail with any external email viewer. Check your hotmail through webmail, and you'll see it has a verification so that machines can't access it anymore. I ditched my hotmail account altogether...not gonna send microsoft any of my money for something I can get free somewhere else.

Yeah, I noticed that, too. I thought maybe a cookie had gone bad or something (I'm not familiar enough with this stuff to catch small nuances.)

I actually find Hotmail to be the only one that stays spam-free for me. Three years spam-free! As long as I don't give it out, I get none, zero, zilch. I can't give it up for that reason so I paid the bastards. Sending photo via iPhoto/Entourage works great. I use yahoo for my junk.
