okay i have been a aol user back in my pc days...i still have aol for i use it occationally on my sony pc..i have the bring your own access so its only around $10 a month
i want to get rid of my aol account however i still want to keep my contacts with my screenname to use on aim(iChat)
if i terminate my aol account can i still use the screenname on aim??
i need a definate answer, as i will have to make a aim name and slowly contact all my buddies and tell them about hte new name
From what I understand, if you cancel the paid AOL service you will also lose your AIM screen name. You could just call them up and ask this to verify. I think there is also a cheaper plan, around $5 a month for light access.
