Is it just me, or is Greg Sewell's column in the March issue of PM just wrong? He touts alternative browsers Firefox, Opera and Safari. A comparison chart of the three says Safari doesn't have a Bookmarks Manager ("These logical filing systems help you organize your favorite online destinations more easily than IE's drop-down menus.") like Firefox or Opera. Isn't that what Show All Bookmarks or the bookmark icon in the upper left is for? I honestly don't see any difference between this and Firefox's way of managing bookmarks. In fact, one thing I don't like about Firefox's manager is absolutely having to use the delete button on the toolbar to get rid of a bookmark, unlike simply hitting the backspace key with Safari.
He also touts that Firefox and Opera have "One-click navigation from Google (or any other site you happen to be visiting) to eBay or Amazon." I don't seem to be able to find that feature in Firefox or on the Firefox page at Mozilla.org. I don't really want to have to fire up my PC to find out if it's a feature on the Windows version only. Does it really exist?
Of course, this is the same guy who writes that Safari is "for Apple computers with OS X and newer operating systems." Did I miss the introduction of OS XI?
