My hard drive on my powerbook crashed last week. Fortunately, I transfered most of my docs and stuff to my external hard drive. Now, how do I transfer my itunes library back to my new hard drive and have itunes recognize it? i tried to transfer my iphoto library back but iphoto never recognized it so I had to transfer individual photos. I really don't want to do that with all my songs!!!

You need to replace:

1. Your music collection in the same location on the drive
2. The iTunes preference file
3. The iTunes library XML file in the same location

That should be it, worked for me.
