Hey all

Having read the blurb on Apple.com for iLife05 it said that music purchased from ITMS could be put into iMovie films??

Am in the process of editing some footage in newly installed 05 from a trip to Paris last month, and when i drop in a purchased track it won't attach. Starts to import then just stops.

Any ideas??

Cheers

Ay up,

I don't have iMovie5, but came up across a similar problem in iMovie4. What I suggest trying is create a completely new blank project. Then try importing the song into that. If this works you can import the AIFF file from the media/project file into the desired project. For some reason iMovie4 always did what you describe if I tried bringing in purchased music in the middle of a project, but always succesfully imported into a new and empty project.

Apart from that you might want to check the order in which you launch the iLife components. There's suggested orders knocking about. I'm not overly convinced of the effect this has though.

If that fails, burn the track to CD and then re-import

Thanks, it was a conflict in Slick plug ins that was causing it, went to their website and there is a new updater for any slick add ons.

Sorted, now have new Stereophonics tune 'Dakota' added to my footage [great track!]

Cool. Glad to hear it got sorted. Think I've heard that track, sure I have. Will probably have to get around to getting it. Miss that side of the pennines. It rocks.
