Does anyone know what volume level in iTunes is best to use when playing through the Airport Express to an amplifier?

think of it more like a light dimmer;
full volume is simply on, then you turn it down.
having said that, just play around with it; what sounds best?
have fun...

I usually set it at the same level my CD's play thru my amp.

I believe if you set iTunes to ignore the volume control when playing thru AirTunes, the output level via the AirPort Express will be a standard line level signal. This is probably ideal, though you must control the volume via your stereo and not via the Mac.

Thanks, that is what I was looking for. I didn't know that option existed.
