Since the last update 10.3.8, I've been experiencing odd random cases of Safari crashing while browsing. This never happened in the last 1 and a half.

Anyone else had problems since this update?

I have not updated yet. Have you taken a look at the crash logs to see if you can glean anything of importance? Is it specific sites or a general issue? Try restarting, deleting your Safari cache, then your Safari Preferences, and then reinstalling Safari (in that order).

I upgraded a few days ago and have not had Safari crash yet. It's my main browser and gets a lot of use. Sorry.

My experience if Safari is crashing is that it may be a corrupted font. If it loads and crashes when you get to a webpage, it may be a font thats causing a problem. There was a thread about this.... Try to create a new user in the sys pref-> accounts -> add new user then logout out and log in under the new user and see if it happens.

Sounds like it could be a font issue. Search the threads on this and you'll find something dealing with the problem and the solution (don't remember the exact one off-hand).
