I installed Logic 7 on my PowerBook to see how well it worked. I made sure to go into Preferences and change the audio output to built-in. I loaded one of the G4 demo songs into Logic, but only the bounce track comes through the PowerBook's built-in speakers. How can I get the other instruments to play through the built-in speakers?

Surely you can listen to more than the bounce track on a PowerBook. I know people use PB's for Logic work all the time. Are they outputting to a separate sound source or using the built-ins?

not sure what you mean by "Bounce" track. The Output 1-2 is what outputs to the speakers. If you want to hear individual tracks, solo them, or mute others. Make sure the output of the individual tracks (In Track Mixer or Environment) are set to "Output 1-2." (Filp-menu just above the fader)

Or, if you want to audition individual regions, or audio files, open them in the Audio Editor (or matrix editor for MIDI regions) by double-clicking the region in an Arrange window.
