I'm looking for a way to do a countdown in Keynote 2.
For example, I was to start a countdown at 15 minutes before the presentation is to begin. Does anyone know a way to do this other than make a ton of slides and have them transition every second?
Thanks for any help.

What I'd do :
Create a JavaScript countdown timer on a web page ... like the one here (on the right). Save the html file locally and put a webview control on a single keynote slide that points to the html page.
I think that idea is clever as $hit ... can't believe I thought of it

Isn't that going to have an HTML box on the screen?
I'm looking for something that will be seamless with the rest of the slide.
My hope is that someone knows of a java or flash solutions that looks pretty and integrates well with Keynote slides.

Couldn't you create something in Keynote? Create 1 keynote presentation with the cound down then export it as a quicktime movie. Import the quicktime move you just made into your new presentation as a seperate slide then continue from there. Or couldn't you just make them like 3 or how ever long you want the countdown for? just put numbers in the slides. slide 1 will start with 3 slide 2 will be number 2 and slide 3 will be number 1 then have it transition to the first slde of your presentation. couldn't you just do something like that?

Yes, he knows he can do that ... but he wanted a 15minute countdown. 15 x 60 sec = 900 slides !!!
And fromthecloud, you don't HAVE to have a 'box' on the screen. Whatever the javascript is for a countdown can be formatted to display any way you choose .. set the font size, face, and color to make it look however you want. The link I gave you was just a sample showing that you CAN do it with javascript and webview. It doesn't have to look or act anything like the linked page.
