Checking mail works fine. I've got the outgoing mail server set as smtp.mac.com
Whenever I try to send from my .Mac account it always gives me a choice of other servers to send from, saying smtp.mac.com doesn't work. What am I doing wrong?

It's likely your ISP is blocking the outgoing connection to smtp.mac.com. Who's your ISP? Use their SMTP server. For example smtp.comcast.net or some such.

I want to be able to send mail using Mail.app with my .mac account, but my internet connection is currently through SBC. I have set the outgoing server to the SBC server, but I still cannot send mail.
