I need to do a clean install on my iBook and would like to save the preferences/data from Mail, AddressBook and Safari (to restore after reformatting the HD). Can anyone tell me where these files are located and what they are named?

iTunes & iPhoto libraries, etc, are simple enough, but I couldn't seem to find the above preferences/data files.

Any other usefull files I should back-up before the reformat?

~/Library/Mail/
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Mail.plist

Address Book

~/Library/Mail/
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.AddressBook.plist

Safari bookmarks

~/Library/Safari/Bookmarks.plist

All information "afaik". I suggest you backup your complete home folder.

Instead of a reformat & install you can also do an Archive & Install with reimporting of the user and network settings. Much less work and usually has the same effect.
