I was trying the take the video out of Magical Trevor (a webtoon) and put it on a DVD. The thing is it was in Flash so I got Snapz Pro X (the non-paid kind) and when I took the video of it, I saw that there was no audio when I opened it in anything, including iMovie. I already had Wiretap so I figured I would take the video and audio of the video through Snapz(for video) and wiretap(for audio). It worked and I got the video and audio of Magical Trevor (also used the audio for my iPod). And I put it in iMovie and edited it. However there were some issues so I figured I would get the A/V again. I now figured I could do both apps at the same time so I would have to hear the song 20 times ( i was taking 10 loops) So I set everything up and when the video was about to play, I turned on snapz and set up the frame and everything. I opened Wiretap and right before it played I pressed record. However, the second I pressed record, a line ran down my screen, the system froze and a restart window came up. I have never gotten the restart message before on my G5. I figured it might be because of Ram that this happened (I only have 512) but I was wondering if there was a way to prevent this. I tried it again and the same thing happened. And the weird thing is it always happens when I press record. Its when both apps are open and recording. Another thing that might of happened is that my power went out (snow storm) when I was recording the audio on Wiretap and in the background, Snapz was rendering the movie or whatever it does after you record. Then I came back when the power came back on and the whole restart thing happened. I know I wrote too much but please reply.

The restart message you are referring to is a kernel panic. It happens when bad data or bad instructions are received by the core of the OS, the kernel. It should be a rare occurrence. There will be panic log files that you can view in the Console (/Applications/Utilities); the logs may be useful to Ambrosia Software. This may be a known conflict between the two utilities, but I don't see anything after googling to suspect that would be the case. I would go to the Ambrosia Board and look for more information there. Ambrosia's el Presidente is here under the username moki, so maybe he will see this thread and help you out.

Yeah I just recorded the A and the V (A/V) separately. But I put it on 400 magnification and the highest quality so it was like tiled in the quicktime window unless the window was 400 % (meaning 4 times my screen) so I have to start over. It's pretty tedious to do them separately though cuz I have to stay and count how many times it loops.
