Hello guys,
I have no idea how to set up my printer using Virtual PC 6.1, using Windows XP as the virtual OS. My printer is hooked up via the Airport Express router that I have, and the problem is that the software I need to use has NO Mac OS alternative. THis is software my stats professor wrote, or help co-author and gave all us alternative users the big middle finger. I had to go out and buy Virtual PC, but I bought the older one as it was less expensive, and I have no idea how to set up the printer on the Airport.

Thanks!

If the printer is setup as your default OS X printer, then VPC should print to it.

I no longer have VPC 6 installed, but I do recall that VPC6 had 2 different methods of printing. One was using VPC's "generic" printer drivers, the other was a direct printing method where you had to install the Windows printer drivers.

You should be able to print if you follow the setup for the generic printer driver.

VPC6 expects the printer to use VPT1. The generic driver emulates an Epson AP3260 or LQ2500. The postscript driver emulates an Apple LaserWriter.

I am currently on VPC7. With that you can print directly to any printer available to your Mac, not just the default printer.
