Good morning everyone,
Last week I received my first mac ever (powerbook 15" G4). I love the OS and its applications (iLife 05). I started playing around with iphoto and created a book and uploaded and ordered through Apple.
I received the book this week and I was not happy with the quality of the paper and images that I received on the book. I would of had understood if my images were low quality, but they were really high quality photos taken with my Nikon D70 camera.
Has anyone else ordered and had the same experience? is there a better service out there to print books and have really good quality?
Thanks in advance,
Dannye

Oddly enough, i got a Medium 20 page size book this morning delivered and am also really dissapointed with the print quality!
I have a Minolta A2 which is 8mp, so the pics are pretty high quality too, so no idea why the pics come back lookin really grainy???
I get better results on my Canon Pixma ip4000.
Won't use the service again, is a good gimmick, but the p&p pushed the 1 20 page book to £12.00 and it is tiny. Be scared to think how bad they would look on the large book that can be ordered??!
Not sure if the quality is rubbish so that the pics can be sent over the net quickly - sure someone must know?

I have ordered prints (large prints) from ofoto.com and never had an issue. I actually thought that the fact of being APPLE would at least be as good,, but not as BAD! I would not order from them again.

This service was done by MyPublisher. I got one of the book a few years back ( The price was a lot higher than that of the iPhoto books.) and the new books are not as good as the first ones. These compaines are getting cheep and using lesser products. They are triing to hit a certain price point and not get the quality that is needed.
I have heard good things about Shutterfly have not ordered form them yet though. I have ordered large prints from iPhoto and was very pleased with them (16x20 and 20x24).
I would like to do more books and I am going to test out different services for this.
