Could not find a definitive thread for Imaging Software.
So which one is the best and why or a link to the thread?
I know backing up is important but I want to use the easiest, fastest, and most reliable software available.

By imaging I'm guessing you mean hard drive imaging and not image editing.
Carbon Copy Cloner - donation-ware, pretty easy to use. Good for making an (near exact) image of a drive. Not very good for day to day backups, if that's what your planning.

I am looking for HDD imaging software (ie Backup my PowerBook). I should have stated that better. I am look for a monthly back-up app that is easy, fast and reliable.

Super-Duper! is supposedly very nice, too. (Haven't tested myself, though).

(1) It's Mac, not MAC (MAC is a term referring to ethernet address information of some sort)
(2) There've been 2 suggestions so far - there are plenty of other "backup" software utilities, all with their own merits, though they aren't full drive imaging utilities.
(3) Drive imaging, as opposed to just general backup, is not all the common a mac task, and so it's not surprising there aren't more opinions
(4) If you like, you can get a list of potential programs by searching versiontracker or macupdate.

I've explained this process several times recently. Search for Disk Utility, Carbon Copy Cloner, and Super Duper.
Disk imaging and cloning is certainly done commonly in the Mac world. It's never something most home users do, but it's a core part of lab or other large-scale system management under Mac OS X.
