I've been looking all over the web for a good ps1 emulator that uses roms instead of having to pop the cd in to play. I mean if i really wanted to do that i'd just go one room over and turn on my actual playstation. The thing is, i've got a laptop and I travel from time to time so i'd like an emulator that can use roms so i don't have to cart around all my ps games. I've found some emulators such as PCSX and I think it's called VGS, but both require the original cd. If anyone knows any good PS1 emulators out there... or maybe a place to get final fantasy 7 just post a message. Thanks!

Dont know much about this, but making a disk image of the disk and mouting it wont work?

You can get FF7 on eBay for probably around five dollars.

Make a disc image in toast. Mount it whenever you want to play.

Great solution! Is there any way I can mount the disk from the file and not have to open up toast everytime i wish to mount? Maybe an applescript? I really have no idea.

Use Disk Utility to make the image instead of Toast and you can mount it by double clicking in the Finder.
