can someoene please help me out. i don't know what happened, but when i get info on tracks (cmd + I) in itunes to edit the tags i itunes won't let me. the info window pops up. but when i try and highlight certain attributes like name, song, or genre.. i don't get a cursor in the fields. i deleted itunes prefs but im still getting the error.

Did you try the method where you click a song in your playlist, then wait a second, and click again? This should make the field editable.

also, you might need to repair permissions if they've gotten wrongly set for some reason.

i repaired permissions as well without any change. i ended up deleting my whole library and all prefs again. then i loaded my tracks from my ipod again. everything is back to normal. i was getting impatient trying to figure out what happened. oh well.
