I'm taking an online course and am connecting to the virtual classroom via newsgroups and Thunderbird.

It was fine for the first couple of weeks, but for the last 4-5 days it isn't downloading anything new. Any ideas? I'm not getting any error messages, the new messages just don't show up.

I know there are new messages because I can see them when I go to the classroom via the web interface.

I know it's not much to go on, any help appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Chris

ive had similar issues... i jumped on the firefox / thunderbird bandwagon, and recently have had some bizarre issues..

Firefox has decided to just randomly reset to its "newly installed" state, erasing all my bookmarks, homepage, and settings.. This has happened on several occasions

Thunderbird will no longer automatically download my email, but does fine with some news feeds... On some it reads the same news several times, so i have 2-4 copies of alot of news casts.. annoying as hell

Thanks again,

Is it the full 1.0 release or a nightly build? I would try a nightly build and see if that helps with anything, but remember to backup any data in case anything goes wrong with that.

I use Thunderbird too, and I've noticed that it only automatically checks one of my accounts by default. I can force it to check all of them by clicking on the Get Mail button, but if I don't do this then it will only check the first account I set up, even though that's not the default account anymore.
