i can't remember the name of the app that i used to run. it showed system processes, network traffic, hd usage, eg right on the desktop.

does anyone have a recommendation? the one that i vaguely recall could be stickied on to the desktop so i could use the expose to clear all the windows and check stats.

Menu Meters is free and uses the menu bar for the same purpose. Great app.

There's a number of Konfabulator widgets that do it as well.

Yeah I know what your mean, I remember the icon. But can't for the life of me remember the name. I think it stopped developement a couple of years ago though. It had loads of transparency options and looked pretty spiffy didn't it?

Yep that was it! Get it from Macupdate, versiontracker seems to be pointing to the wrong address.

damn i could have sworn i used to be able to have expose ignore aquamon so i could clear all my windows and check the stats. does anyone know how to make expose ignore it? and what would be the easiest way to hide the dock icon. im going to have it run on login anyway.
