I am intrigued by Skype's new Skypein service that has been recently released for the Mac. My experiences with Skype have been quite good for the most part - excellent calls to landlines and Mac-Mac calls only limited by input and output via internal mic and speakers...

Would there be any thoughts on or experiences with this new Skype service??? Or how it compares to Vonage for instance???

One feature that seems interesting is the portability of skype, possibly via handheld through wireless connections...

Cheers...

I'd say an open set of standards - like other VoIP services use would be more portable.

Just because it's shiny now doesn't mean it'll be the best in the long run.

But that's just me.
