whenever i first try out a new web browser, i'm always amazed at the "snappiness"© for a few days... and then it always seems to bog down and start doing molasses impersonations. i know that clearing out your browser cache files is supposed to restore some nippiness, as the browser tends to get bogged down having to dredge through a huge cache to find stuff - but on the other hand, the whole point of the cache in the first place is so that the browser can access stuff quickly without having to get it off the internet. so how do i work out the ideal cache size? i think i'm obviously setting mine too large, as i usually allocate about 20-40MB but what should i go for - has anyone done any research or testing in this area?
