August 2004 issue of MacAddict gave their Awesome rating to a new package, SketchUp, for 3D sketching of architectural ideas. It can export files for AutoCad and Illustrator.

You can investigate other solutions by searching MacUpdate or Version Tracker.

As noted earlier, another site you might want to explore is Architosh, dedicated to Macintosh-based architects and related CAD/3D professionals worldwide. They also have a review of SketchUp.

At the low end of the market, there is:

- Design Your Own Home Architecture, which runs in Classic, and some related apps.

- You can also search the Home and Recreation section of the Macintosh Products Guide[/url]. Within Home and Recreation, select the radio button for the House and Garden category and click Find Products.

Thank you very much- I'm gonna look into the suggested material. I'm no architect- just someone thinking about designing a house for myself so just need something simple and easy to use for visualization
