I can not find the option to save with embedded fonts on the OS X version of Word...

Print->Save as .pdf

If that doesn't do what you're looking for, you might try typing it into Word's own help system, as it's generally pretty good. I'd do it myself, but I'm not in front of my mac right now.

Well what i was really looking for was a way to save a .doc file with embedded fonts like I can on Word for windows... I've got 2 versions of my resume... one in pdf as saved like you said and one in .doc... I'd like them to look the same.

Word 98 for Mac OS 9 could embed fonts, but the Mac and Windows versions were incompatible.
Microsoft seems to have dropped the feature entirely in Office v.X and 2004. Shitty, huh?

Anyway, for your resume I'd definitely stick to built-in fonts; you don't want to risk having it look wonky for somebody.
