I'm just wondering if this is normal and if there is a way to correct it.
I installed ARD on about 100 Macs and there is 1 XServe with the Admin app on it. When I first installed everything I ran a system overview report of all the machines on the network and everything worked great in about 15 minutes I had exported the data to Excel and most of it looked correct. (The G5s with DVD Burners showed no optical drive, but the combo drives were reported correctly ???)
The real problem has been getting worse and worse over time. When I run a system overview report now (about three weeks since install) it takes a few hours to finish and the hardware has not changed much at all. This didn't happen all at once, it seems to be getting slower and slower as time goes on.
What I'm wondering is... "is this normal, expected behavior?" and will it go back to being very fast if I delete the rmdb database or are there other things that need to be deleted as well?
Any ideas?
