Howdy all.

Like many, I favor the breadth of Photoshops capabilities over iPhoto's for editing pictures I take. I usually import these edited pictures into iPhoto by saving them and dragging/dropping them from the Finder.

However, iPhoto is now being fussy over what it takes. Despite both Photoshop and Preview being able to open the images, iPhoto claims the images don't contain any date and/or are corrupted.

I've trashed the prefs a few times and repaired disk permissions.

Anyone have any other tips?

I'm not sure I have good advice on why iPhoto complains and Preview doesn't, but I could suggest a different flow for your work. You can import pics directly into iPhoto first and then change iPhoto's preferences so that when you double-click to edit, it will open in Photoshop. Doesn't solve your import problem per-se but at least it may help you work around it in the future.

iPhoto->Preferences->General->Double click photo -> Opens photo in: and then select Photoshop by using the "Select Application" button.

Thanks for the tip, but I do that already. And I don't really want to save over the original in Photoshop, rather import the edited version so I have the edit and the origian in my library.

You can use drag the photos from iPhoto onto the Photoshop icon... that said I don't think that helps all that much...
