I am getting constant GIF decompressor errors in the console from Safari (1.2.3):
2005-04-05 22:07:59.612 Safari[440] GIF decompressor: GIF image ran out of compressed data at offset 0x21
It is happening in all users. I guess I have to reinstall Safari, but does have any suggestions for me before I do this?

This is probably a corrupt GIF on a website you are viewing.

You don't need to reinstall a program because of messages in the console.

The problem is that these messages are constant, with another one about every ten seconds. Unless I find out that my log files are ballooning as a result I'll treat it as an annoyance, but this is bothersome.

Clear the Safari cache, trash its icon cache, restart it and open MacNN. Does the message still come?

Thank you for the suggestions, Tetenal. Where is Safari's icon cache?

I apparently remedied whatever error was occurring by quitting Safari in all my open users. Did not even need to log out. Thanks again for the input, Tetenal.
