I just got my first DVD burner and I have finally decided to start ripping the old DVD's and making some backups. I move and travel a lot for work so this would make my life easier and much more enjoyable.

Anyway, anyone know of any good software? Open Source preferred but if not I am willing to pay.

Thanks all

i've been using handbrake to rip dvds to mpeg - seems to work perfectly every time, and it's free. if you're after a copy it's available from versiontracker.
