This is the most annoying thing EVER. Every time i send an e-mail, its lost in digital space because mail.app won't store the message on the imap server for some reason..


It used to work, then all of a sudden it just stopped for some reason. I tried deleting and re-installing the mail account, to no avail... any suggestions?

BTW: The server is my own, hosted on dreamhost.net

Is the "Store sent messages on the server" box checked in the preferences?

Have you selected a mailbox where it should put the message?

Select box->Mailbox->Use this Mailbox for...

Bingo. Took me forever to figure this one out. It's a really bad bug, too - it can lead to data loss.

larkost.. thanks a million.. you solved the million dollar riddle!

I WAS GETTING SOOO frustrated with Mail.app man.. I've lost tons of good e-mails because it wasn't saving outgoing messages.
