I am interested in creating a connection chart for a presentation the problem with all this is what application can i use to make such a chart. I am not sure how many people here have seen the show "The L Word" but Alice one of the chracters on the show has a love connection chart on her wall and she made a complete digital version of it on her powerbook.

In case everyone is wondering what such a chart looks like basically pictures names of various people interconnecting with each other but not following a particular pattern. Also giving the user the option to search throughout this mesh for all those names or people related to each other via a name input by the user.

Is this actually possible? If so what application is need i am not sure if such a thing can be done with Motion but i would really like to know please.

Take a look at OmniGraffle. It is very good at creating charts. The searching part sounds more like a custom application.
