Hey there,
My friend just got a cute little ibook, and converted tons of cd's in itunes -- before we discovered that it was converting the files into AAC (or whatever that new file format is --- what the heck is it? and what is it for??) INSTEAD of mp3's! So we converted them all to mp3's (too many to re import) -- (how is the quality going to be on a file converted from AAC -to- mp3) but now, even tho they're all in the exact same locations and all of the AAC files have been deleted itunes doesn't find them. You can go through them individually and re'find' them, but there are HUNDREDS of songs... how in the heck do you universally update the file locations or maybe even only the file tag in the itunes directory, so it knows to find the mp3, not the AAC? it's a ibook 1.2GHz PowerPC G4 running 10.3.8. PPPlease help!
