any way to disable it?

i have my mac plugged into BIG speakers, and often forget to turn them down when i'm burning a cd...

even if it's a little....involved, would like to find a way to kill that sound!

The sound is in a resource file inside the Toast application at

/Applications/Toast\ 6\ Titanium/Toast\ 6\ Titanium.app/Contents/Resources/Toast\ Titanium.rsrc

The sound you want to change is resource type "snd " with ID 128 and name "Toast Signature Sound". Search MacUpdate for a program called ResFool. This will let you delete the sound and replace it with a new, blank sound.

Alternatively, you could download the file I already modified and replace your file with this new one (after saving a copy of your original resource file). I just tested this file I modified and it works fine.

Great. I wasn't sure if it would still work if the sound resource was missing.
