I did a search & didn't see anything that specifically addressed this problem, so I'm hoping that it's something very simple that I've just missed.

I am trying to use ical with a palm handheld to sync my address book, calendar & todos. I understand that categories for todos will not show up on the palm & while disappointing, I can live with this.

The problem I am having is viewing todos on the palm. I cannot figure out how to view only the todos that are on ical for today. The problem comes in that the 4 viewing options on the palm (sort by: priority/due date, due date/priority, category/priority, & category/due date) don't seem to work well with ical. In ical the standard for creating a new todo is to make it dateless & it just transfers from the current date forward (so that tomorrow it will show up on that date as a current todo. However, some things need to be set to specific dates (like mailing tax returns on April 15th) The problem comes in that I have a mix of items that have specific dates on them & some that don't. These show up fine in ical (although the fact that dated items don't automatically move forward when the date changes-boggles my mind)

I cannot seem to figure out a way to see this list on my palm. If I sort by most of the palm choices, I get all of my dated items (even ones for 6 months from now-this isn't really useful) But if I look to sort them by date on the palm (due today/ last 7 days/ next 7 days/ past due) I don't get to see the undated todos.

I'm not about to start dating every single todo, as a lot of them carry over every day & I don't want to have to redate them all every single day. Any ideas on how to work around this?
