I've been using the latest Firefox G5 build and am very impressed: it's the fastest browser I've tried yet. Anyone else have an experiences with it?

I'm sure they have, and they posted them months ago when this was news.

Do you feel better now that you've acted superior?

I agree... what is with people's need to act like assholes just because they heard about something awhile ago.
Don just heard about it and was excited... so what? I'm glad he posted because if he didn't I would never know I could get an optimized build.

Does anyone know a good source to get the latest optimized versions of FireFox builds (for G5 and G4)? Also, are these "optimized" versions ACTUALLY better or is it all psychological? Thanks.
I tried doing some searches on the FireFox forums, but I found it to be pretty difficult to find relavent posts, let alone understand the some of the browser build lingo.

After further searching, I found this site to be of help. It appears that FireFox will not build in Tiger yet and there won't be any new builds until that time.

After using the G5-optimized build for about 30 minutes or so I went back and used 1.0.3 (downloaded 4/28/2005). I didn't notice any difference in rendering speed between the two. Just curious for those who have used it, what were your reactions?

I used the G5 builds for a while. I actually built one of the first G5 builds, in fact, though I didn't distribute it (the thread is around here someplace). I didn't notice any difference in rendering speed, but some non-rendering tasks -and in particular, launching the program- were much faster than before. So much faster that I have to admit I was concerned; you shouldn't ordinarily be able to get that much of a boost from just changing some compiler flags.

Partially correct.
Its true that its not possible to compile Firefox with GCC 4.0 on Tiger yet. But its compiling fine with GCC 3.3.
