10.3.9 breaks Proteus?

Proteus is broken for me. Application launches, but i see absolutely NO text in the main message window after i have typed the message and pressed enter. There is also NO text in the main message window when the person on the other side replies. I hear the visual feedback when i enter a message and also when i receive a reply.
Oddly the Proteus website and support forums are down.

this is not a 10.3.9 problem. i've had this happen to me before, way before 10.3.9.
try and change your message theme, or trash the .plist file. are you using the new beta? try going to the regular non-beta one.

why? my message archive is in proteus format. ICQ file transfers most likely don't work in adium either!!! So 
i still have this issue no fix yet.

firstly i removed the plist no change. I just put the plist back then decided to change the theme from Classic 2.0 to anything else apart from Classic. My text is now availably displayed along with the other ppl messaging me. Strange.
Oddly, my ICQ account is only connected yet with some themes the message window is displaying my AIM screen name and its not connected. FYI my ICQ account is at the top of the list int he account viewer window.
